MERCY
HOSPITAL FOUNDATION OFFERS
HEALTH CAREER SCHOLARSHIPS TO AREA STUDENTS
October 29,
2009/Iowa City, IA: The Mercy Hospital Foundation is again offering
scholarships to high school seniors who attend a school within the
Mercy Hospital service area and who plan to pursue a degree in a
designated health-related field. There will be 10 Health Career
Scholarships available for students who plan to pursue a degree
in:
*Pharmacy
*Radiology Technology
*Respiratory Therapy
*Clinical Laboratory Sciences
*Surgical Technology
*Physical Therapy
*Nursing
The Scholarship
amount is $1,000 per year and is renewable for up to four years
as long the student maintains a cumulative G.P.A of 2.8 and continues
to pursue a degree in the designated area of health care.
Mail-in deadline
for this scholarship is Wednesday, January 13, 2010 and the hand-in
deadline is Friday, January 15, 2010. Applications
can be downloaded here and must be received by the deadline
date in order to be considered.
